Role Overview

We are seeking an Apprentice IT and Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infra team in Paris. At Botify, the Infra team works closely with all teams within Engineering to achieve ambitious projects together, and IT supports everyone in the company.

What You'll Do

As an Apprentice IT/infrastructure, you will work closely with the Infrastructure team and will have two main buckets of work:

On the IT side, you will:

• Assist employees in using software and computer hardware (level 0 and 1),
• Manage the fleet of Apple devices via Kandji and ensure their proper configuration,
• Ensure processes execution for employee onboarding and offboarding,
• Manage the employee computer and phone fleet.

On the Infrastructure side, you will:

• Operate and maintain the platforms,
• Automate, industrialize, and strengthen construction and deployment processes,
• Participate in incident resolution through analysis, implementing workarounds, and correcting root causes to ensure production stability.

What We're Looking For 

• You’re a tech enthusiast, curious, and with a strong desire to grow.
• You are already proficient in a scripting/development language (preferably Python) and are familiar with "Infrastructure as Code" concepts (Terraform, Ansible, etc.). No prior field experience is required.
• With excellent interpersonal skills, you can adapt to different employees and team members.

Technical stack:

IT:

• Mostly Apple, some Windows
• Kandji as a Mobile Device Management software
• Google Workspace

Infrastructure:

• A mix of AWS, GCP and OVH (bare-metal).
• Docker and our internal deployment system.
• Ansible for our instance configuration and Terraform (+terragrunt) for the infrastructure configuration.
• 1500+ servers, scaling depending on the workload.
• Load of 2000 req/s on some services.
• Github Actions to automate deployments.
• Git for version control.
